I have two tried and true kebab places I enjoy regularly, but I'm so glad I tried Chelo Taste of Persia yesterday. The food is delicious and the servings very large! They also have delicious homemade drinks such as cucumber lemonade and a Persian Arnold Palmer that go well with this cuisine. The two young men behind the counter are friendly, and there is parking in the back! Try this place if you haven't yet! ”

“ Just a little place in Van Nuys. I will be back!! The chicken skewer was AMAZING! I normally don't order them (they tend to be dry) but here, oh my gosh! So moist and juicy and tender and flavorful! The salmon skewer was also so good, covered in butter and garlic, lightly seared on the outside and super soft, perfectly cooked inside. The bread and rice were perfectly cooked too. They make their plates fresh to order, so I waited maybe 10 minutes. I see why this place gets a 5 star rating! ”

I've never had so many flavorful and consistent items from one place before. The lentil soup was one of the most delicious soups I've ever had. The hummus was perfect; just the way I like it! The gyro sandwich was very good as well. I'm not the biggest fan of feta, but the rest of the sandwich was still good, so it was easy to ignore that part. The star of the show was definitely the Lemon Butter Salmon Kebab!! It was well-made and the the buttery mixture on top was chef's kiss! The food came fairly fast as well, which added to the experience as a whole. I definitely recommend this place! ”

We like to order the saffron lemon chicken and the kubideh (ground sirloin beef kabob) to share. Always tastes amazing! Ordered online and it was ready in 20 minutes. The place was filled with families eating in and a few picking up their orders. I was so happy to see it busy. Misa, one of the owners remembered me from the event. Very cool.
